The bar restaurant called “Check me-Social Hub” situated in North suburbs of Athens, Kifisia, thanks to its skillful concept combining Bar and Living Room with Restaurant is a special place for urban socializing. In addition to this, an authentic interior design concept with natural materials and dedication to detail was created in order to give to the visitor the impression and the feeling of being in a familiar and friendly environment
Despite its small size the space is divided into smaller units that create different moods and serve different needs similar to those encountered by someone in a house (dining room, bar, office).
Large arched metal elements in the facades reveal a warm atmosphere to passers-by which - in a symbiosis of light and material - makes them want to enjoy a coffee.
The open wood flooring featuring in chevron style, the wall coating with brick and the careful choice of colors and furniture reveal a strong influence of Scandinavian design composing through the simplicity of lines a unique and peaceful environment.
The main area is divided into two parts –the interior and the atrium. This is achieved by choosing a different wallpaper on the ceilings, and the different organization of tables in the two parts. The 'interior' consists of the bar and a large glass dining table, while the 'atrium' is formed by a more casual table configuration. The same philosophy continues to the exterior of the restaurant causing a harmonization with the natural environment, creating a delightful destination.
Finally, special attention was given to the lighting design in order to create a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Decorative lightings hanging from the ceiling, wall mounted lightings and spotlights in selected locations create an intimate and friendly atmosphere in the area and allow to the client to feel equally comfortable throughout the day and night.
